Perhaps the next Poetry contest that you propose will be my more defining. Hope you’re doing well.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8935690.post-86175495681369324622008-04-30T09:48:00.000-07:002008-04-30T09:48:00.000-07:00Let me rephrase... I ...As always you reflect my thoughts on your blog. I can relate most to the part about watching battles around you. These past couple months have been greatly overwhelming to those around me dealing with ALL SORTS of problems. It sometimes feels as though I'm flipping through episodes of the Real World, The Hills, Cops every time I pick up the phone to call someone or decide to hang out with them.. all the while I'm dealing with my own sin. Thanks for posting Em. And guess what? I'm applying to the Peace Corps... Started the application today.Jourdanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03859083916680699042noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8935690.post-23811826543561290582008-04-29T21:07:00.000-07:002008-04-29T21:07:00.000-07:00Is that you, BGO? If so, I know that winning a poetry contest can be a defining moment in one's life (especially if the win is greeted by much heraldry and, like, the coolest victory crown ever), but I had no idea it was that defining. Maybe it's time you were assigned a new topic.Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01695713342657700875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8935690.post-47841634185548651622008-04-29T09:26:00.000-07:002008-04-29T09:26:00.000-07:00Amazingly, the times I'm most aware of how GOOD Go...Amazingly, the times I'm most aware of how GOOD God is is during the most difficult times in my life. I have heard it in earnest voices singing loud and out-of-tune. And I have smelled it in the warm sweet smell of a completely trusting baby asleep in my arms.

When I look back on my childhood years and think about my father's death I remember these simple things in life God used to bring happiness.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8935690.post-28390146416245757372008-04-28T22:57:00.000-07:002008-04-28T22:57:00.000-07:00Yes I agree! Even though I am tempted to fret (I do fret) deep down inside I know that God doesn't always fix our problems the way we want Him to but He walks with us through the storm(s). And in the end we are much closer to Him than we were before.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
