Col 3:23-24

"According to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you." Phil 1:20-24

Our hearty service for the Lord, wherever we are, proves to be beneficial to others. As long as you are here, your life is a service to others who need God's grace given to them by Him through you.

Thank you for the post Emily. God bless you richly.

Uncle Dondonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14658192393563372771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8935690.post-34360703885037718872009-11-13T06:55:25.295-08:002009-11-13T06:55:25.295-08:00Emilius, This is a lesson very similar to what I&#...Emilius, This is a lesson very similar to what I've had to learn in my 3 years here in a military town. Friends come and go in one year rotations and there is a point during which I am tempted to say, "Get close to no one; they will soon be moving" but when I finally came to the point where I "jump in with both feet" I am so much happier and blessed with the friendships and ministry opportunities God does provide. (Was that a long run-on or what?) Anyway, your post hit home for me. Thanks for sharing friend! Press on.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
