My reversion to community college is now complete, following my first in-class experience yesterday (last semester was all distance learning). This course on guitar (yeah, not rocket science) promises to be interesting -- if we ever get around to learning guitar.
As of yesterday, we introducted ourselves ("My name is Emily, I play piano and handbells, and I don't play in a band..."), met our fresh-out-of-college professor, and learned that metronomes help us keep time. In the professor's words, "If you don't learn to play in time, you -- you -- you . . . don't learn to play in time!"
A sad fate indeed.
Today it's Spanish 280 in the same room where I started my community college sojourn eight-and-a-half years ago.
My resolutions as of yesterday include (1) becoming a professor (they get all the best parking!), and (2) writing a college textbook, so that I can collect obscenely inflated profits from penniless college students.
