Also, today in Spanish class Prof. Cucurny told us about a Cataluñan tradition for April 23, la fiesta de Sant Jordi (St. George): el dĂa del libro y la rosa, que en 1995 fue instituido por UNESCO como el DĂa Mundial del Libro y de los Derechos de Autor.
This sounds like my kind of holiday. On that day, lovers (and, I hope, other people too) exchange a rose and a book.
Fancy that -- a rose and a book all in one day.
