and we're off!

Of shoes and ships and sealing wax

And cabbages and kings

And why the sea is boiling hot

And whether pigs have wings."

(No, that is not entirely relevant.)

Well, after many weeks of planning, agonizing, and spending far too much money, today we leave.

Already along the way we met the vodka man (whose advice has at least spawned some really interesting conversations), learned about international electrical outlets, exchange rates, and European weather patterns.

And I hear the best is yet to come.

So, happy rest-of-April in the U.S.
