The first day of classes has arrived.
Also arrived are the mosquitoes.
My mom keeps saying that the events of my trip are proving the truth of Romans 8:28. This morning when I got down from my perch atop a chair from which I was trying to open our bedroom window (apparently painted shut) and walked into the kitchen to make coffee and, to my horror (for anybody who doesn't already know my history with blood-sucking insects -- it's a bad one, wrought with allergic reactions and other unpleasantries) saw two mosquitoes who had come in the open kitchen window, I had to say "amen."
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
So, classes start today (hurray!). Before I leave, here's a picture from yesterday:
