progress is made

Good news for all who were worried about the OBCL booth:

John Caleb and I just left our respective jobs and sat at the OBCL booth for nearly an ENTIRE HOUR. We even talked with several people, who were duly impressed that we had there at the booth an OBCL graduate who is running the tournament and an OBCL student who is running HSLDA (okay, so there's a little bit of hyperbole there . . .).

But it was good.

In addition to our legal and administrative abilities, I also proved my facility in the use of duct tape, with which I have affixed the OBCL banner securely to the sides of our booth. Yeah. It's [maybe not the most professional thing but it is] resourceful, so that's good.

And it's windy, so we are excited to contemplate that even in our absence OBCL materials are likely to fly right into the hands of those future OBCL students who were predestined to receive them. (Yes, I went to a reformed service on Sunday.)

I think you should just leave the table vacant and let the wind do your promotions. Predestination is a beautiful thing.
