a big "only"

Here's a pair of "wow" verses I ran into this morning (or was it yesterday morning . . . ergh . . . time to finish packing and sleep):
Blessed be the Lord God,
the God of Israel,
Who only does wondrous things!
And blessed be His glorious name forever!
And let the whole earth be filled with His glory,
Amen and Amen.
--Psalm 72:18-19
What an amazing statement! I know I don't expect Him to do wondrous things very often. Looks like I need to have my perspective adjusted.

[Note to Uncle Don: Since I can't make it on the camping trip, does looking at pictures of stars count? :) ]

it's close, but I'm not sure if it counts...

The whole Old Testament is a picture of Christ. I guess any picture that truly brings us to a place of awe concerning Christ, is okay. Although after experiencing again the actual beauty of the stars on a crisp awesome night in the mountains, the real thing is always better. Kinda of the same way being in the actual presence of one you love is better than the picture you carry around, which is still priceless but less than the real thing. Probably heaven will be like that as well.
