stand by your manhood

My latest task in my debate league job is lots and lots of data entry. So today I decided to do something edifying while I type and play old John Piper sermons in the background.

After listening to Piper's sermon from last Sunday, I went back in the alphabetical archives to dig up something else and came across "Affirming the Goodness of Manhood and Womanhood in All of Life" right there on the first page. Lately this has been a topic of conversation in and around our house (notably because of a few fellow students No. 3 and I have met in one of our classes), so it seemed like a good choice.

For some reason my computer wasn't working right with the streaming audio from desiringgod.org, so I downloaded it to Windows Media Player, where it was playing quite happily.

At some point I clicked into the Media Player window and noticed that Windows had auto-searched for a CD cover to go with the track . . . a CD cover populated by a blond woman with severely teased hair and a dress that, to put it politely, wouldn't meet the church modesty policy.

So I looked, and behold, Windows had created this listing:

Album: Biblical Manhood and Womanhood
Song: Affirming the Goodness of Manhood and Womanhood in All of Life
Artist: Tammy Wynette

Yep.
