time off . . . to work

Now that school is finished, I have time for all those things I've been putting off doing . . .

most notably, that means WORK.

Most days, if you ask me what my job is, it takes me about 30 seconds to remember what it is exactly that I do to earn those paychecks that come in the mail (incidentally, that is about the same amount of time it took me yesterday on the 405 to determine that I was travelling alone and not eligible to drive in the carpool lane -- I am that good at keeping myself company). I'm not sure if this is good or bad.

Anyhow, until school starts again I am working to remedy that.

Which doesn't explain why I am here blogging instead of being an administrative assistant, law school professor, or high school logic teacher.

But -- see?! -- at least this morning I can remember what I do.

Now there's improvement.

I have the opposite problem on the freeway. I tend to forget that I am elligible when I have company, I guess I should be a little less independent.

They don't have carpool lanes in Kentucky, so, uh . . . I guess I'm in my own little group by myself.
