I'm not sure if it has to do with the trouble of measuring out so many multivitamins, so many iron capsules, so many calcium pills, & etc., but since I went to the doctor I've been a lot less hungry.
Then add to that that after spending the money on the doctor's visit to be told I am missing healthy things, it just feels wrong to count coffee as breakfast and Doritos as lunch. So while I go to the trouble of measuring out so many multivitamins, so many iron capsules, so many calcium pills, & etc., I've also got to go to the further trouble of assuring myself that what I am counting as a "meal" is at least arguably heathful in itself (for the record, PB&J sandwiches are arguably healthful, especially if it's crunchy peanut butter).
It's exhausting.
All in all, I have learned that my tendency toward laziness is stronger than my tendency toward gluttony.
And I'm really starting to feel for the guy in Proverbs 26:
The lazy man buries his hand in the bowl;
It wearies him to bring it back to his mouth.
How sad is that.
