peanut butter and jelly

(This is one of those things that the world just has to endure because I have a blog.)

I have chosen this morning to announce that my free association response for "hits the spot" is "peanut butter and jelly sandwich."

Has been for a long time. Even when it doesn't hit my spot, that's just what I think of when I hear "hits the spot."

Incidentally, though, it does sound really good right now . . .
