There are some parts of a person's person that you should only be required to see if you are a person's parent (and that only for the short years of early childhood) or have chosen to marry the person (no exception for plumbers).
You should NOT be subjected to such intimate acquaintance through the casual chance of sitting behind a person on the first day of school.

You should also not be subjected to this...um...view if you teach college classes. Unfortunately, unlike teachers of yore, I would chance being sued if I asked the offending student to go home and change into something less revealing.
What we need, really, is to bring suspenders back into style. If everyone wore suspenders, then people wouldn't wear low-rise pants, and baggy pants would become less dangerous.
That, and suspenders are neato.
