It feels like this week has been a marathon of intensive people-time. Talking with people, listening to people, problem solving with people, visiting with friends I haven't seen in a while. None of it is something that you really do. But it takes time and much more energy and emotional investment than my work or my homework.
Today I caught myself thinking, "How can I make time for people with all the stuff I have to do?!"
I think that the balance between people and stuff must be one of the Great Frictions of Life.
And if the Gospels are any indication, people should win every time.

That is definitely the challenge in life, eh? It always seems to be a more difficult choice than it should be- at least for me- but after I choose the right thing, I always feel better :-)
