Today No. 3 said that she sort of wishes that we could freeze at 23 and 17 and that things could keep going on the way they are. We both know that wouldn't be too fun for long, but my time with No. 3 is definitely going to be one of the highlights when I look back on this chapter.
And when No. 3 looks back I hope she'll shake her head at a comment she made just a couple hours after the "freeze" discussion:
"Hey!!! In just one week we'll be having JET LAG!!!"
(The worst part is that I remember looking forward to having jet lag when I took my first cross-country flight. But that wasn't a three-leg red-eye. JET LAG here we come . . .)

I'm blissfully ignorant of those kinds of jet-lag experience, but I do know what I'm like when I'm tired.
