A commenter on the Boundless blog provided a link to this insightful movie review from Slate:
Just Say Noah
The review -- from a secular perspective -- reminds me of a lesson Don did a few weeks back during the C&C study of Jesus' parables. We were studying the parable of the unjust steward, where Jesus talked about the shrewdness and wisdom of the world in dealing with the systems and commodities of the world. In the same way, citizens of a heavenly Kingdom should be shrewd and wise in dealing with the systems and commodities of the Kingdom.
Hollywood's appeals to the Christian market are a prime example of this. We are willing to compromise reverence for the holiest things in exchange for our own entertainment. And they know it. And use it to their benefit. I almost want to say, "You go, Hollywood! Good thinking!"
The sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.
