One of the great puzzles of the universe is that time/work invested isn't directly proportional to success of results. Sometimes that paper you throw together the night before is just . . . better.

that's very true... I believe it's because, as with free time, your brain is not carelessly wandering all the degrees of which to experiment with a project whereas in a procrastination situation you are forced to focus on the main parts and assemble them together... rather quickly.
Usually my last minute work is better than stuffed I've slaved over for days. I just work better under pressure. I love the challenge.
Crazy all that controversy over gender roles..obviously a subject many have a lot to say about. Hope you aren't feeling like the center of an attack. I think people just need something to talk about.
I think God has given everyone different gifts. It didn't matter how long I worked on a paper.........sometimes I just didn't get a good grade. Whereas other people can throw a paper together at the last minute and get a really good grade. I call this the gift of intelligence. Sometimes I get envious of people like that. But then I realize God has gifted us all differently.
In college, it always got on my nerves when I would work on a paper for a long time and get a B or a C; and then someone else I knew would throw theirs together at the last minute and make an A. That is what I mean when I say some people can do that.........they have the gift of intelligence.

Melanie - I don't feel attacked. I'm enjoying giving profound assent to the noble protective impulses of good men. ;)
I figure as much
