Today has been a happy day.
On the transition from the 22 to the 57, I was so happy singing along with my CD that I almost sideswiped a police car. Thankfully, I didn't, resulting in only more happiness.
I got to school and realized that, even though I'm feeling a lot better after the weekend's mild physical travails, I am still having a problem with depth perception. Some things in the parking lot seemed further than they normally are. Some things seemed closer.
As I pulled into one lane of the parking lot, an ROTC guy parked in the first spot started making dubious faces at me. I only smiled happily at him, right before thinking to myself, "like I could get into his space, anyway. It's facing the wrong direction," and continued driving down the lane.
A few seconds later I saw another dubious face belonging to a driver who was driving toward me in the lane. "Funny," I thought, "that I don't usually notice the faces of the drivers in the parking lot."
That's when I realized that I was driving the wrong way down a one-way lane of traffic.

And I wasn't anywhere near you this time...
This is true. I guess I have to give up blaming you now. Now that I think about it, I was probably happy those other times, too (except the time at Disneyland; it takes a lot to make me happy at Disneyland -- that one I'll blame on you).
this is funny. like actually laughing out loud funny which is not often for me.
