Friday was the honors banquet for the Modern Languages and Literatures department. Here's a lot of my school friends (and a couple of Hermana Clara's sisters; Hra. Clara is the one in the middle) with our linguistics professors. Dr. Prado, next to me, was also my mom's phonology professor at UCI.
We tried to balance out the height difference with a chair, but it ended up being the same. Lorena is a beautiful friend, inside and out, and I am so grateful for her.
