the meantime

One of my anxieties coming home this summer was that I would need to look for a job. Although I've had several good jobs in my life, I've never really had to job hunt before. The jobs always found me. And they were, looking back, remarkably good fits for where I was in life and the time I had.

So I've been looking . . . and praying for God to provide in the meantime.

And, in the meantime, a funny thing has happened.

People keep coming up to me or calling and asking if I tutor in writing. I LOVE tutoring in writing, I just haven't had the time to do it in a few years. But I do now. So the answer was "Yes! Yes, I do tutor in writing!"

The day after I got the first tutoring request, somebody I didn't even know asked me if I did proofreading or editing. I LOVE proofreading and editing, I just haven't had anyone ask me to do it (except for fun) since I edited some speech/debate textbooks during law school. So the answer was "Yes! Yes, I do proofread and edit!" A couple days later, I was working on three different editing projects.

So I'm still looking . . . and God is [amazingly] providing in the meantime.

(And, if you have any tutoring, proofreading or editing that needs doing...)
