talk about anticlimactic

From my Music Appreciation syllabus:

Listening, like all other skills is developed with practice. Listening to music is, therefore, going to be the most important thing you do in this course. Written material will provide some background information, describe the musical sounds you will hear, and offer some suggestions to help focus your listening, but in this course written words are less important than the musical sounds.

Because of this, it is important that you make sure that a) the latest free version of the
RealPlayer is properly installed in your computer, and b) the proper CD is in the disk drive of your computer before you begin each lesson.
Just when I was starting to get into an appreciative mood...
