After the Tour ended on Thursday night, a group of six of us had planned to spend a weekend seeing less-seen sites, driving around on our own schedule, getting away from civilization, eating lots of Swiss chocolate, not spending too much money, and hopefully getting good and lost (at least once).
We achieved all of our goals (well, except we didn't get really lost; we had an international incident instead -- I think that counts).
Mary and I slept in Friday morning while Nicole and Paul actually got up and got stuff done and Brian and Jonathan went out vehicle hunting.
By about ten-thirty we were off, headed for independence and the open road. In JEANS. (And flip-flops!)
