Today we took a field trip to the Kilns and the Parish Church where C.S. Lewis is buried. I really don't have much to say. It was one of the best days ever.
Then I had my tutorial for my Lewis class which, because I haven't had a chance to write anything yet (apparently, a regular tutorial is where you read your essay aloud and the tutor rips you to shreds until you wish you'd never been born), meant that I got to sit outside on a beautiful sunny English day under a tent with the brilliant Dr. Michael Ward, and talk.
Actually, he talked and I tried not to. And when I did, I did not sound eloquent or especially lucid. Nor did I sound poetic or polished with a British accent. ::sigh::
So tutorial was good. But our talk at lunch about U.S. freeways and British plumbing may have been more fun.

Holy smokes.
I sat in that very chair 12 weeks ago today! I'm so jealous; soak up the experience for me too! :~)
I can't wait to go back to Oxford; I'm craving the smell of the air, the bustle of the town, the sound of contemplative yet unintelligible conversations going on in the distance, and the presence of ancient stones telling silent stories of the days of long ago; ah, I think I need to go have a cup of tea!
You make me laugh. :) It was quite the welcoming chair, eh? Swallows all its visitors.
SUPER updates--funny, too!
