tu cabeza esta en otro lado

On Saturday I was visiting with my grandma and, I think, being a bit absentminded.

I think this because, while summing up our day together, she said, "Tu cabeza esta* en otro lado," following that with the explanation, "it's because you're young."

I love the expression; it literally means "your head is in another place."

And I agree with the assessment.

But I really wish I could figure out where exactly my head is.

Because I sure could use it.

* For all the linguists out there: I would put accents, but Blogger has a tendency of making them disappear and/or inserting other strange symbols in their place. So, it may be wrong. But it could be a lot wronger.
