heavens (seven and otherwise)

For all the Narniaphiles out there, here is a preview in Touchstone of Michael Ward's Planet Narnia.

I had my tutorial with Dr. Ward when I was at Oxford, and I can still hear him reading some of the passages that are quoted in the article. Things like, "Of Saturn we know more than enough. But who does not need to be reminded of Jove?"

(Ergh, it doesn't come out in writing. It should sound British, educated, pensive, and slightly mysterious.)

Exciting stuff.

In other news, the sky was awesome around sunset tonight. The clouds were blue and gold (and pink and purple). And there's this kind of ocean-y smell in the air.
