I don't know that I've ever used the blog to talk about a cooking triumph.
If not, that's about to change.
Last night I made a chicken-asparagus stir-fry thing with onions and garlic and fresh cilantro and basil and just a tiny bit of dijon mustard, and served it over quinoa with sauteed green onions and lemon juice. And then lettuce and avocados.
It was good.
It was gluten-free . . .
. . . and lactose-free.
It was distinctly Californian (sorry, meet the backlash from my latest trip to the midwest; this happens every time).
I was happy.
