indictment

One of my friends from the intensive language program made the following observation in an e-mail to me today:

Come to think of it, no one in the program tried to convert me to anything even though we had Muslims, Christians, Mormons, Catholics; even my military roommates didn't try to recruit me. Nobody wanted me on their team I guess, so depressing.

It bit to read that. The "religious" people in the program spent a lot of time hashing out differences with each other, leaving the undecideds on the sideline wondering why what we believed was important enough to fight about but not important enough just to tell.
