I had a lovely 24-hour vacation in Bakersfield. Win and Norma are incredible (and everyone else is great, too). Next time I will try to stay for longer than 24 hours. And try not to help keep everyone up till 12:30 on a work night.
On my way home I stopped by the library to get some reading material not for a class. Hahahahahahaha.
BUT
I was not to have my Huntington or my Rand for, behold, the driveway was blocked with a menacing orange gate. AND a sign said that the library will be CLOSED until August 18. August 18. The library will be closed for THREE MONTHS. This is not funny, Orange County. Not funny at all.
